12/26/02 - My site went down because the files were somehow corrupted. My provider didn't keep a backup. I just manually entered nearly 25MB-worth of files while trying not to enter redundant files that are the same thing with different names that would put me over. I'm sure I missed some. If you see something missing, please contact me to tell me what and where.

8/5/01 - The majority of the former slashcity.net sites have moved to slashcity.tv, so I revised the URLs to The Complete Kingdom of Slash, De Orakle's Compulsion stories, and Shrift's stories from my rec page. They now work again. As per the request of the slashcity.net sysadmins, I have deleted all links to slashcity.net. The domain was stolen from them and is currently hosting grotty porn stuff of the "endlessly opening cascading windows you can't get out of" variety.

7/29/01 - Dredging my memory, I added Skin by Kathe Koja and The Sun Sword series by Michelle West to my Slashy Books page.

7/24/01 - I adjusted the URLs for Laura Shapiro's stories on my fanfic recs page to reflect her move to a new location and added The Watcher to my movies recs.

7/15/01 - Since I like to feel like I'm giving folks something more than my random blatherings in my LiveJournal and a different counter, I put together a little something for the fanfic recs page. It's short, but it's one of those blanket recs. Go read this stuff! I had to change over the URLs for De Orakle's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit stories back to the Homicide: Life on the Street archive site, Schism, since De Orakle's personal site disappeared again. I changed over the URLs for the Once a Thief Compulsion stories to The Complete Kingdom of Slash.
I found out that I never transferred my X-Men story, "Jump or Fall," when I switched to my new home, so I put it in, cleaning it up in the process. I also improved my Pike & Benny banner, which you can see at Pike and Benny and on my banners page.

6/12/01 - Updated Fanfic Recommendations are up, featuring new recs and some slams on Chris Carter.

6/1/01 - It's the little things that make life worthwhile. I added a brief page of Garden District photos and linked all my new New Orleans photo pages thus far into the original 1999 New Orleans photos index page. I've also added some photos and made some adjustments to my Cure and Depeche Mode lyric pages.

5/21/01 - Some more fic recs. If only I could get someone to pay me just to read and write fic....

5/5/01: I put up a page that has a few pictures of my Bayou St. John encounter with a baby gator.
I also added Meri Lomelindi's Pike and Benny story, with her permission. I like having pretty things in one place, don't you?

4/13/01 - Created two new banners and a page where I can store all my banners together. The new Pike & Benny banner can also be found on their page.

4/8/01 -New fanfic recommendations. Well, two new recommended stories, but I've had a hell of a month. I also switched all the Hexwood URLs to the new archive's URLs.

3/28/01 - Added a picture to my Garbage lyrics page and pictures and a few links to my Sisters of Mercy page.

3/25/01 - We can rebuild it. We will make it stronger, faster.... Okay, maybe not faster, but the absence of pop-up ads sure are an improvement.
After the Tripod TOSing Massacre of March 17, 2001--which caused me days of panic and despair as I wondered how I would ever recover the 500+ summarily deleted site files I didn't have backed-up--my trust of Tripod is gone. Them bringing my files back March 20 with an "Oops!" message on the FileManager page didn't do much to restore the lost trust, though it did make it easier for me to stock this new site. To save myself the worry of being TOSed again, whether by accident or on purpose, I've moved to the slash- and fanfic-friendly www.mrks.org.
Over the last week I've sorted through the multiple copies I now have of almost everything since multitudes of people were kind enough to send copies before Tripod brought me back. I've changed the URL on my banners and taken advantage of the opportunity to rename and tweak some files. I now have a backup copy of everything on my computer's hard drive, since I can't seem to trust my disks to hold my HTML files for some reason. I've learned FTP. And I've watched the community rally around me through the 150+ e-mails of support, sympathy, offers of help, offers of space, and offers to rain death and destruction upon my enemies I received since my first panicked multi-list yawp about my TOSing that hellish early Saturday morning. My heartfelt thanks to all of you.
The Tripod site will remain up, but all updates will go to this site only. Please change all links and bookmarks to this site, http://www.mrks.org/~viridian, from now on. I'm sure I must have missed a link change or file somewhere here--since I'm replicating over two years of file loading in a little over a week--so if you find any missing links or my old URL in any files, please contact me.

For those of you wondering why some people think Callum could play John Constantine from Hellblazer, take a look at this page.

We got yer Gambit crotch shot right here, plus a pic of Wolverine in a battle-damaged costume. I also added another pic to the Rictor and Shatterstar page. I love scanners.

1/10/01 - I added a picture of Johnette Napolitano to my Concrete Blonde lyrics page and a "who the hell are these people?" page for each of my X-Men stories. For some folks, this may be the first time you get to see what Remy, Nate, Rictor, and 'Star look like. Whereas everybody seems to know Wolverine now.

The thing looked interestingly decrepit even when I was a kid about 30 years ago, and now it's just gone, replaced by a standard billboard for hire that doesn't have half its character.
